Warning…there will be a lot of pictures on these next few posts.
We were VERY excited to finally be at Disney World as we had been counting down the days for a while. We convinced Grandma and Grandpa Weener to go with us, and we were so glad that they decided to come along.
Our first night we went to the Whispering Canyon Cafe where we got our first glimpse into all of the fun details that Disney offers. Ella was very excited about the Mickey Mouse plate, maybe not as excited about the “fancy” grilled cheese. The restaurant did have bottomless milk shakes though, which were a big hit.
and horse races!
The next morning we got up and had some breakfast.
Then we opened our Mickey sacks. I made these sacks for them to open up each morning with a treat in it.
The first morning they got their autograph books.
Then we were on the boat on the way to the Magic Kingdom!
Seeing Cinderella’s castle for the first time.
Our first autographs… I actually wasn’t sure how excited they would be about this, but getting autographs was one of Ella’s favorite things to do.
Cavner’s favorite ride of the whole trip. He LOVES cars, and loved driving!
Ella loved Dumbo so much that we went on it three times. She liked being able to drive it up and down.
This is Tim and Cavner on the roller coaster. Ella was too scared to go on it so Cavner was daddy’s riding buddy. It was funny because you could barely see Cavner’s head in the car.
Riding on the train…can you tell that it was hot?!
Some of the amazing landscaping!
The street dance party was a huge hit with Ella who loves to dance.
She did so well following all of the moves.
and was SO excited when Minnie waved to her!
After the street parade we headed to lunch at The Crystal Palace where we got to have lunch with Pooh and his friends.
Then we found our spot for the “A Dream Come True” parade.
More rides…
and then a nap for Cavner.
Sadly he missed meeting his pal Woody (but don’t worry he gets to meet him later!)
When we got back to our room there was more of the Disney details. Ella and Cavner thought that it was so funny that Jessie got the remote and had turned on the TV to the Disney Channel.
We were exhausted after the first day, but it was so much fun seeing how excited Ella and Cavner were to see and do everything. I wasn’t sure how much Cavner would enjoy or want to do things at his age, but he truly would got excited for rides and meeting characters.
Here are some other character pictures from our first day:
