We have survived Cavner's first week!! It was actually a really nice week as he spent a lot of his time sleeping, and we were able to spend some more time with Ella. She really has warmed up to him, and always wants to help out with feeding and burping him, as well as hanging out with him whenever she can. We had some feeding issues with him, and he ended up losing 10% of his birth weight as well as having a slight case of jaundice. Our doctor says that these are major factors in him being so sleepy (and having so much trouble eating). We have been working really hard on this, and we went back to the doctor on Friday and he had gained 4 ounces in just a couple of days, so his eating is really starting to get better.
On St.Patrick's Day daddy took Ella to storytime at the library, and then we all went to Chuck E' Cheese to play. Ella really enjoyed having this fun day out, and she really enjoyed spending a lot of time with daddy this week.
Cavner had his first bath, which he did not enjoy very much. Ella had fun watching him, and she did a great job scrubbing his toes.
Ella LOVES all of Cavner's toys, and she loves to lay with him and play on his playmat. She also loves to sit in his bouncy seat and strap all of her dolls and stuffed animals into his carseat.
We have had a beautiful weekend, and Ella and Cavner got to ride in the double stroller for the first time. They both really enjoyed their ride!
Go Spartans!
Love the pictures of Ella with Cavner. So so precious. I can't wait to take pics of Jake with Macy. Glad you guys are doing well. He's adorable.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Hope you are recovering quickly from your c-section. Parents must get more brave with the 2nd child... I can't believe you went to Chuck E Cheese!!
