I would like to introduce you to Emily, the newest member of our family.
Grandma and Grandpa Weener decided that for Ella’s third birthday they would get Ella her first American Girl doll. They have bitty babies that are perfect for Ella, because she is very into babies and pretend play right now.
We decided to make it a big event for Ella to get her doll, and made it a fun girly weekend.
Our adventure started at the mall where we of course had to ride the carousel. We then went to the American Girl store where Ella played with all of the dolls and fun stuff that they had.
She told Grandma that she wanted a doll for her birthday, but she didn’t notice when Grandma went to go buy her a doll.
That is, until we got out of the store and Ella saw the big red bag. She was so excited when she saw Grandma pulling something out.
She immediately decided that Emily needed a bottle.
After we left the mall, we went to the Marriott to spend the night with Emily. The Marriott has a fantastic package for little girls and their dolls, and there were A LOT of little girls all walking around the hotel with their dolls!
Here is Ella and Grandma walking into the hotel. Ella checking in Emily and herself.
Ella just learned how to write her name, so she was very excited when she got to sign her VIG (very important girl) card.
The room was completely decorated in pink. Here is the look on Ella’s face when she saw that the room was decorated in her favorite color!
There was even a bed in the room for her doll.
and robes for both of them.
The hotel even gave Ella a special birthday letter for her and Emily.
Later that night we went to an American Girl movie at the hotel. Here is Ella with her ticket.
Eating popcorn and watching the movie with Emily.
Cookies and milk were delivered to the room for Ella and Emily as well.
After her bath, wrapped in her pink towel.
Ella used her VIG card to get an ice cream sundae in the restaurant.
Getting Emily ready for bed.
Reading her a goodnight story.
Putting her to bed.
Goodnight Emily!!
