The day after Thanksgiving we braved the crowds (not at the mall) and went to Stone Mountain for their Christmas celebration.
Here is Ella waiting for one of the first shows that we went to.
She even got to participate in the show by ringing the sleigh bells.
Then we went and visited the snow angel…
wrote letters to Santa…
listened to Mrs. Claus tell stories…
and watched many performances, including one about the Misfit Toys.
Then we got some dinner and found the perfect spot on the parade route…
and waited…
and waited…
and waited…
until the parade began!!
After the parade we went on the Polar Express sing a long train…
While Cavner took a nap.
The lights on all of the trees and buildings are AMAZING!! I can’t imagine how long it must take them to put all of those lights up.
Then we went and warmed up a bit in the Great Barn.
Ella loved shooting the balls…
and bouncing on the trampoline
Snowflake Lane…
Finally, we found a spot to wait for the Snow Angel to fly down.
She flew down right over our heads, and she brought snow!!
We ended the night watching the fireworks.
What a great way to get us in the Christmas mood!
