Ella just can’t catch a break over here, poor baby! She woke up from her nap yesterday afternoon with some gunk in her eye, and this morning when she woke up she had a lot of matter in her eye, and they were very swollen. I called the doctor and the earliest appointment that they had was at 2. Ella was fine most of the morning, and then around 1 she started crying and saying that her ear hurt. She would not stop crying, which only made her eyes more swollen. By the time we got to the doctor, she could not even open her left eye. It was HORRIBLE to see.
She cried for most of the appointment, but the doctor finally got her to calm down some by getting her a pink popsicle. Her diagnosis: infections in both eyes and one ear. Poor thing! They gave her some numbing medicine while we were there, and she has been in a good mood since then.
I know that she will hate me for this when she is older, but here is a picture of her when we got home. The left eye was starting to be opened a little bit.
Today was also class picture day at preschool. This is the first day that she has missed this year because of an illness. What a yucky day to miss, but I really don’t think that this would be the best day to be photographed. What do you think?
